Ounce of Prevention empowers people who have been impacted by poverty, the criminal justice system, anti-Black racism, gang-involvement, violence, homelessness, victimization, human trafficking and toxic social environments to break destructive cycles. Urban Rez Solutions provides culturally sensitive services aimed at building pro-social capacity. The organization works to help individuals recognize their own value, as well as the importance of relationships, education, entrepreneurship and community support. Urban Rez challenges individuals and communities to participate in positive social change and to develop sustainable, life-enriching skills.

Urban Rez delivers the Ounce of Prevention to schools, open custody facilities and communities. Direct Intervention includes: group sessions, mentorship, systems navigation, violence disruption, project based learning, court and family support.
