Secretary Job Description

Position Title: Secretary
Location: Urban Rez Solutions Social Enterprise
Reports to: Board of Directors

Role Summary: The Secretary ensures that board operations are conducted efficiently and that proper documentation and records are maintained. This role involves managing meeting agendas, minutes, and board correspondence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute board meeting agendas and supporting materials.
  • Record and maintain accurate minutes of board meetings.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of board records and legal documents.
  • Manage board correspondence and communications.
  • Assist in organizing board member orientation and development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational bylaws and governance practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in administrative or executive support roles, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
